Audio and Video

So you want to upgrade your audio system in your 300C? If you're adding a subwoofer or another amplifier, you will first need an adapter which adds an AUX output to your factory deck. The factory 300 head units, including the navigation system, do not have AUX out. Also be aware that if you add a subwoofer, you WILL have to add lots of dynamat or other sound deadening material to the trunk. The trunks in 300s rattle horribly from every possible spot. If you fire the subwoofers towards the back of the rear seats, and wall it off from the rest of the trunk, it will help deaden the rattles. In this configuration, you can fit 2 12" subwoofers, or 4 12" subwoofers with a bit of planning and modification.

What about the navigation system? The factory navigation system is pretty easy to replace without much trouble. You will, however, need to buy a bezel, as an aftermarket navigation system will not fit perfectly in the dash cutout. Also, if you upgrade the factory navigation system, please be aware that you will lose your navigation related EVIC (the screen above the instrument panel) functions. You will no longer see your GPS turn by turn in this location, and no longer see what radio station you are on, etc. You will also lose your steering wheel controls.

Upholstery

Custom upholstery really sets a car's interior off. However, it can be pretty expensive. For custom sewn interior from a fabric of your choosing, you may be looking at spending multiple thousands of dollars. A cheaper (and better, in my opinion) alternative is to check out a product called Katzkin from www.Katzkin.com. These are custom fitted slip on upholstery pieces and you can choose every aspect about them. Choose the seat color, insert color, piping color, etc. Expect to spend around $1,500.

Lighting

There are multiple options for interior lighting in your 300C. Below are some of the most popular options.

  • Interior Lamp LED Replacement Kit (Click for Picture)
The interior LED lamp replacement kits replace all of your lamps inside of your 300C with LED lights which provide a much brighter and clearer white light.

  • Neon or LED Lighting
Universal LED light bars such as are sold at any auto parts store can be tastefully incorporated into the interior of your 300C. Try under the seats or under the dash.
    Price: $10-20
